Charlize Theron wears Dior Sunglasses in Young Adult

Charlize Theron in Young Adult - Movie Poster looking rough with a dog in a bag
Charlize Theron stars in Young Adult - Get this movie poster here
Charlize Theron is a stunning looking woman, as we all know, but one thing I love about her is that she is not afraid to rough it up for some of her movie roles. In fact, she won an Oscar for her portrayal of notorious serial killer Aileen Wuornos in Monster (2003). In the poster (above) for Young Adult, Charlize Theron couldn't be any more casually dressed, she looks like a teen-aged girl who just rolled out of bed at three o'clock in the afternoon.  But is okay though because she has a dog in a bag and Dior sunglasses on top of her head, so she looks fabulous... well, okay, maybe not, but maybe her character in the film thinks she does?

Charlize Theron plays Mavis Gray in the recent Jason Reitman (Up in the Air) film written by the Oscar winner Diablo Cody, the dialogue in the film is suitably sharp as you would expect from the Juno screenwriter.

Mavis Grey is a recently divorced fiction writer of young adult novels who hasn't really grown up herself since her prom-queen days. She decides to go back to her home town to rekindle her romance with her ex-boyfriend, even though he is happily married, with a newborn baby girl.

Its a compelling film, that is more drama than comedy, but its well worth your time, but bare in mind that Mavis is not exactly the nicest person to have ever lived... she's only human.

Charlize Theron is seen wearing her Dior sunglasses throughout the movie - not really surprising that they are Dior - given that Charlize Theron is the spokeswoman for Christian Dior in the J'adore advertising campaign. Check out some of these images below (click to enlarge).

Sadly, the Dior Zemire 1 sunglasses are from the 2010 collection so are quite hard to come by now. However, you can still pick up the Dior Zemire 2 Sunglasses here - These are quite similar in style, but not quite as tall in lens height.

The model sunglasses worn by Daniel Craig as James Bond in Skyfall are these Tom Ford Marko FT0144 Sunglasses in colour 18V.

Although these do look like great sunglasses, I do think these Aviator-style sunglasses might be just a bit too small for Daniel Craig's face.  What do you think?

Once again, thanks to Select Specs for the images and information in this post, but a word of warning... demand for these sunglasses has apparently sky-rocketed in the build-up to the launch of the latest James Bond adventure, so availability on these sunglasses is somewhat limited right now.

Select Specs have advised that if you want to pick up these sunglasses you should place your order as soon as possible as they will be sent out on a first-come-first-serve basis as soon as they are available.

Mila Kunis - the current face of Dior has been voted the Sexiest Woman Alive 2012 by Esquire.

Put simply: I Concur.

You can't deny it, there is something about the pocket-sized star of Black Swan and Friends with Benefits. She even says so herself "If I wanted to charm the pants off you, I could". All I can say is "Please do!"

Mila Kunis has been the face of Dior's advertising campaigns since the Spring/Summer 2012 campaign. In the photo (above) she looks elegant and classy wearing Dior sunglasses.

The model sunglasses worn by Mila Kunis in the campaign above are these Dior SummerSet1 Sunglasses in colour T70 (Q8) from the SummerSet Collection, originally released by Dior in the Spring of 2012.

This acetate sunglasses frame has a rounded shape inspired by 50's styling and according to Dior is designed in exclusive colours. The temples feature the all-important Dior logo and the 'Zeiss' graded lenses ensure 100% UV protection. And of course the frame comes complete with it's own Dior case to keep them safe when not in use.

Horrible Bosses - Jennifer Aniston in Oakley Eyewear

Horrible Bosses film Poster with Jennifer Aniston, Kevin Spacey and Colin Farrell
Horrible Bosses - get this movie poster here
Have you ever wanted to kill your boss? No? Oh... Well, maybe you ARE the boss... in which case, your staff probably want to kill you! The movie Horrible Bosses is an entertaining comedy from 2011 in which three friends each have their own very different horrible bosses, who they conspire to kill - needless to say, they are not exactly very good when it comes to being killers.

The film has an all star cast including Jennifer Aniston, Kevin Spacey, Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, Jason Sedeikis and an unrecognizable Colin Farrell with a ridiculous comb-over. Horrible Bosses is a fun way to spend 98 minutes, especially if you like your comedies.

Jennifer Aniston - Dr. Julia Harris, D.D.S.

In the movie Horrible Bosses, Jennifer Aniston plays Dr. Julia Harris, D.D.S. a first class maneater who relentlessly sexually harasses her dental assistant Charlie Day...  Lucky guy if you ask me, but apparently he has a problem with it and wants her to stop. Either that or he wants her DEAD!

Jennifer Aniston walks around in her underwear, places her unconscious patient's hands on her breasts, suggestively eats bananas or hot dog sausages and poses for raunchy photographs in compromising sexual positions... All good reasons to watch this film. But this is the Movie Glasses site, so I'm sure you're really here to find out what glasses Jennifer Aniston is wearing to do her job in the film.

Click the images below for a closer look.

Oakley - Custom Radar Path

Most dentists would probably normally wear standard safety glasses rather than a designer brand of sports glasses to do their job, but hey, Jennifer Aniston is the boss, so she can wear what she likes... which turns out to be not that much at times :)

In Horrible Bosses Jennifer Aniston is clearly seen wearing Oakley Radar Path Glasses as she sexually harasses Charlie Day's character by squirting him in the groin area.

Custom Oakley Radar Glasses as worn by Jennifer Aniston in Horrible Bosses

Oakley's Radar Path is typically available as a sports style sunglasses frame with tinted lenses and is available in a selection of colours and slight variations such as the one featured in the movie with the straight stems.

In the film, Jennifer Aniston is actually wearing a custom variation of the frame. Oakley allow customers to choose from a selection of frames and design them to their own tastes and styles. You can choose from many colours and combine them in the various parts of the frame or choose any lens options you wish.

I have created the same frame used in the film using the following Oakley custom options: -
  • Frame Colour: Team Light Blue
  • Lens Shape: Path
  • Lens Colour: Clear Path
  • Icons: White (or Team White)
  • Ear Socks: White

These glasses are great for sport, and their impact resistance will protect your eyes from any dangers such as tree branches while mountain biking or squash ball impacts etc. If you plan to get the Jennifer Aniston look yourself, you can also choose to have a second set of tinted lenses to go in the frame, or why not select these with photochromic lenses that change from clear to dark as you move into the sunlight.

Have fun creating your custom frames.

Gary Oldman Wears Kirk Originals Eyewear in The Dark Knight Rises

The Dark Knight Rises - Jim Gordon - Gary Oldman Movie Poster
The Dark Knight Rises - Gary Oldman as Commissioner Gordon Poster - Get Movie Posters like this here

It's here at last - The Dark Knight Rises was released in the Summer of 2012 as one of the most eagerly anticipated films of the year - yes, even in a year that also saw the release of Mavel's Avengers and The Amazing Spider-Man re-boot.

Gary Oldman - Commissioner James Gordon

The Dark Knight Rises may be set 8 years after the events of The Dark Knight, but Gary Oldman's Commissioner Jim Gordon apparently hasn't felt the need to change his glasses in this time.  He is apparently very comfortable wearing the same plastic rimmed frames he was wearing almost a decade earlier in the second movie.  Either he's looked after the tough old things or he just keeps replacing them with the same model after every eye test.

Click the images below for a closer look.

They are said to be a Special Limited Edition, so if you like them, you should snap them up pretty fast.

Andrew Garfield Wears Oliver Peoples Eyewear in The Amazing Spider-Man

The Amazing Spider-Man Movie Poster - with Andrew Garfield
The Amazing Spider-Man with Andrew Garfield - get this movie poster here
The two key stars of The Amazing Spider-Man are seen wearing prescription glasses during the film. Andrew Garfield as the re-vamped cooler version of Peter Parker and Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors. Okay, it's a little stereotypical for both of these characters to wear glasses, I mean, they are both incredibly intelligent, Peter Parker was always a bit of a geek and Curt Connors as the (slightly) mad scientist.  But it's also true to the source material and with today's fashion, both of these characters look super cool in their designer eyewear.

Glasses Worn by Andrew Garfield - Peter Parker

In the film, Peter Parker finds an old leather brief-case that once belonged to his father. Inside he finds his father's old glasses and puts them on - strange that he would have the exact same prescription as his old man? ;)

The glasses worn by Andrew Garfield (as Peter Parker) in The Amazing Spider-Man have been identified as Oliver Peoples - Larrabee according to the helpful readers over on the SelectSpecs.com blog.  Sadly, it doesn't look like they sell the glasses themselves at the moment, but in their post they have recommended some good alternative frames if you want to get the Peter Parker look yourself. They also list some good budget choices too.

Glasses Worn by Rhys Ifans - Dr. Curt Connors

The contents of the brief-case that Peter Parker finds, leads him to his father's old colleague - scientist Dr. Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans) and soon-to-become The Lizard!

Seems funny that Dr. Curt Connors also wears Oliver Peoples eyewear in the film... You don't suppose they paid the movie studio by any chance do you? ;)
